bruce lee workout routine and diet plan body abs bodybuilding protein supplements and weight lifting the key
bruce lee workout routine and diet plan body and abs, how did bruce get into such good shape?, if you look back at bruce lee's routines and early workout routines bodybuilding style workouts and weight lifting had a major part in building up the bruce lee physique and fat free style shape, not forgetting those crazy toned abdominal muscles as well.
at the moment i am shifting my bodybuilding workouts in the direction of a more lean physique and less towards the bulking mass type idea, because when i try to build more body mass i have to put up with also being fat at the same time due to eating lots of food.
so at the moment i am doing more frequent workout with lighter weights, but still with lots of intensity, one thing i am trying to aim for is to get a midsection like bruce lee, who was known for having really good abdominal muscles, so of course for me to try and get abdominals like bruce lee i need to lower my body fat a bit and also increase the amount of abdominal training i am doing and so far this is working at bringing in my abs.
so i thought it would be interesting to take a look at the workout routines of bruce lee and the style of training he used to build up his body and muscle mass and shape, especially a look at some abdominal exercises he used, though i will probably not be able to do half the exercises bruce lee used when ab training because he was known to do some extreme abdominal training that required great strength in the abdominal muscles.
first though some good bruce lee videos to get the mode for this blog post with this video first of bruce lee at a 1967 karate tournament displaying his 1 inch punch technique and also bruce lee doing what looks like a 2 finger push ups.
next onto this video as a bruce lee inspirational video this is a kind of bruce lee cgi cartoon type video and is really cleverly done, this is a must watch video for bruce lee fans who have not seen this bruce lee youtube video
Bruce Lee cartoon animation, computerised video of bruce lee.
now to bruce lee's abdominal workouts and training and what can be a sample bruce lee type abdominal workout?, and this video is really interesting it says it is using bruce lee's abdominal choices of exercises from his book, 5 of his chosen ab exercises.
if you watch the video, the ab exercises flat crunches, usually when you see someone doing ab crunches they bend there legs whereas, these are different you have your legs flat and straight out, to do these flat crunches, also twisting alternating flat crunches looks like a good ab exercises as well, from bruce lee's abdominal workout choices.
so in this video check out these bruce lee abs abdominal exercises routine-

this is the bruce lee training ab routine to work at getting the bruce lee style midsection i think this is a good routine to follow from this bruce lee inspired abdominal workout.
maybe it is slightly basic abdominal routine in some regards (then again this looks advanced as there is more then 5 exercises in here) but i actually think if effort is put into getting good control of these exercises then there can be good results achieved in the mid section and building up the waistline abdominal muscle, plus no equipment is needed to do this abdominal workout either.
this is actually a really intense abdominal workout here, and will take some building up to and learning, but it looks like it will build up and tone up some serious abdominal muscles, if it is followed for a long time i think you can get abs like bruce lee form a routine like this.
that was a great ab routine above in the video i posted, watch that video to learn that bruce lee style abdominal workout, will take some getting into though, i would actually call that a advanced abdominal routine.
this next video shows a idea on what bruce lee's actual weight training bodybuilding routine was, when building up bruce lee's strength and muscular body.

This is the weightroutine that Bruce Lee is ought to have used. I used some source like internet to find out what weight exercises he did and I came across this barbell workout very often.

now i want to look at the bruce lee diet and what he ate, the kind of foods and nutrients bruce lee favoured the most.
bruce lee avoided refined flour, like white breads, cakes and the like, and said you should avoid foods that only had empty calories.
some things bruce lee followed in diet was eat small and often, and bruce lee did not like diary too much but would consume diary as part of his bodybuilding protein drinks, where bruce lee would drink a protein drink at least once per day.
bruce lee did take supplements in his diet regime, here are a list of health supplements bruce lee has taken bit like chinese herbal medicine

some quite interesting supplements there in that list of what health and bodybuilding supplements bruce lee used, bruce lee will of also been no stranger to chinese medicine and so some of these supplements will probably been inspired by chinese medicine as well.
as well because bruce lee did take the ginseng supplement as well, sometimes a ginseng and royal jelly supplement for good health and energy release.
bruce lee also ate a lot of chinese foods in his diet as well, and believed in a balanced diet and not just eating too much of one thing.
this is one of the recipes of what actually went into the bruce lee home made bodybuilding protein supplement shakes and what bruce lee said he used to make his protein shakes with in a food blender, below is bruce lee's secret recipe to build muscle and bodybuilding protein drink for power and energy
